  If you want to sell, arrive extremely early in the day to avoid a wait. I would recommend getting there before the store even opens. It usually takes the salesperson about 20-30 minutes to sort through each customer. I arrived before the store opened at 11 on a Sunday and was the second person to be seen. The salesperson was extremely slow to look through the belongings of the person before me and I was finally called to the counter at 11:30. I tried to explain to her how I had my things organized and she interrupted me in a short tone and told me to let her alone so she would look through it. At various points during the transaction, and as the line of people waiting after me got longer and longer, she would often stop to talk to her coworkers, going so far as to step away from the counter to chat. The process took much, much longer than necessary. As others have said, what the salesperson decides to take is entirely up to their discretion- the woman who helped me wouldn't take a dress I had while a nearly identical one was hanging on a rack for sale. Nevertheless, you won't make nearly as much money reselling at other consignment shops nearby. You can drop off what they don't buy at Monk, which is a couple blocks away.
